Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc compliance reviews, audits, and investigations of internal policies, procedures, and operational activities.
  • Identify, document, and report instances of non-compliance, potential risks, and areas for improvement in existing compliance programs.
  • Interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., corporate governance, data privacy, financial regulations).
  • Develop and recommend corrective actions and preventative measures to mitigate identified compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to implement compliance recommendations and foster a culture of adherence.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of compliance policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and communicate their potential impact on the organization to relevant teams.
  • Prepare detailed compliance reports and presentations for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance activities, findings, and resolutions.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate compliance, internal audit, or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian regulatory landscape and corporate governance principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical business actions.
  • Proficiency in conducting compliance reviews and investigations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications
