Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of company premises (internal and external) to prevent and detect signs of intrusion, damage, or other threats.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras and alarms, and respond promptly to any alerts or suspicious activities.
- Manage access control systems, verifying identities and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance and maintain a secure environment.
- Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches, initiating appropriate protocols and coordinating with emergency services.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, documenting observations, actions taken, and witness statements.
- Conduct security investigations as required, gathering evidence and interviewing relevant parties.
- Provide first aid or emergency assistance when necessary.
- Educate employees on security best practices and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Operate and maintain security equipment, performing routine checks and reporting any malfunctions.
Required Skills
- SIA Door Supervisor Licence (or equivalent) is essential
- Proven experience as a Corporate Security Officer or similar role (minimum 3 years)
- Excellent observational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of security protocols and procedures
- Proficiency in monitoring surveillance equipment (CCTV)
- Ability to write clear and concise reports
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Knowledge of relevant legal guidelines for security and public safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with access control systems and alarm monitoring software
- Advanced conflict resolution and de-escalation training
- Certification in Corporate Security Management or a related field
- Previous experience in a corporate or commercial environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
