Key Responsibilities
- Deter and detect theft, fraud, and other criminal activities within the retail premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the store, both visible and covert, to ensure security and safety.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and alarm panels effectively.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, security incidents, and emergency situations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers and staff with inquiries, directions, and general support.
- Complete detailed reports on all incidents, observations, and security breaches.
- Enforce store policies and procedures, including those related to entry, exit, and product handling.
- Collaborate with store management and local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Maintain a strong visible presence to reassure customers and deter potential offenders.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance security knowledge and skills.
Required Skills
- SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding License (active and valid)
- Proven experience in a retail security or similar customer-facing security role.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Capacity to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- First Aid at Work qualification.
- Experience with CCTV monitoring and basic alarm systems.
