Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, unload, and process incoming shipments, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Perform quality checks on all products and report any discrepancies or damages promptly.
- Efficiently pick and pack orders according to strict instructions, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging for dispatch.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and possibly forklifts (if certified), after receiving appropriate training.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock rotation to optimise warehouse space and product accessibility.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure daily operational targets are met or exceeded.
- Assist with loading outgoing shipments onto delivery vehicles, confirming correct order counts.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including manual handling techniques and emergency procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) regularly.
- Reliability and punctuality, especially for night shift schedules.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading instructions and counting inventory.
- Adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, particularly night shift operations.
- Forklift truck license (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck).
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
