Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC-R systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Clean, adjust, and repair systems and perform warranty services.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
- Educate clients on proper usage and maintenance of their HVAC systems.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including local and provincial codes.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional communication with clients.
- Participate in on-call rotations for emergency service as required.
Required Skills
- Red Seal Journeyperson HVAC/Refrigeration Technician certification
- Gas Fitter Class A or B ticket
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various HVAC-R systems
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS)
- Familiarity with various refrigeration systems and controls
- OSHA or equivalent safety certifications
- Comfortable with digital service management tools and tablets
