Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly vigilant and proactive Mobile Patrol Officer to join our dedicated security team in Caerphilly. As a Mobile Patrol Officer, you will be a crucial asset, responsible for safeguarding a diverse portfolio of client premises, assets, and personnel across various locations within Caerphilly and the wider Cardiff area.
Your role will extend beyond mere observation; you will be the eyes and ears of our security operations on the ground, conducting regular patrols, identifying risks, and implementing appropriate security measures. You will operate a company vehicle, adhering to designated patrol routes and schedules, performing comprehensive checks of premises, and ensuring all security protocols are met. This includes checking for unsecured windows and doors, inspecting alarms, and reporting any suspicious activities or breaches.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular mobile patrols of client premises, ensuring high visibility and deterrence.
- Monitor and inspect premises for signs of intrusion, damage, or security breaches.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms and emergency calls, following established protocols.
- Enforce security policies and procedures at client locations to maintain a secure environment.
- Complete detailed incident reports, logbooks, and patrol reports accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise professionally with clients, law enforcement, and emergency services as required.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance issues found during patrols.
- Provide a professional and courteous presence to deter crime and reassure clients.
- Conduct internal and external checks of buildings, gates, and perimeter fences.
Required Skills
- Valid and active SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding license.
- Full UK Driving License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year proven experience in a security or similar patrol role.
- Excellent observational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and accurate reports.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities under pressure.
- Proficiency in using security equipment and digital reporting software.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform patrols in all weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced First Aid or Emergency First Response qualification.
- Experience with CCTV monitoring and alarm systems operation.
- Previous experience specifically in a mobile patrol role.
- Knowledge of local area and routes within Caerphilly and Cardiff.
- Basic IT literacy for digital reporting and communication.
