Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive deep cleaning of industrial machinery, equipment, and production areas.
- Clean and maintain floors, walls, ceilings, and communal spaces within industrial facilities, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
- Operate and maintain heavy-duty cleaning equipment, including floor scrubbers, pressure washers, buffers, and industrial vacuum cleaners.
- Properly handle, store, and dispose of general waste, hazardous materials, and industrial by-products in accordance with strict safety and environmental regulations.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed in strict adherence to company and client-specific health, safety, and hygiene standards, including COSHH guidelines.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, reporting any shortages or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damage to facility infrastructure promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and facility staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and minimise disruption to operations.
- Adhere to all site-specific access, security, and safety procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an industrial or commercial cleaning role.
- Demonstrable knowledge of industrial cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals.
- Proficiency in operating various heavy-duty cleaning machinery.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to industrial settings (e.g., COSHH).
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
