Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, both on foot and via vehicle, to deter and detect security threats.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and other security equipment to identify unusual or suspicious activities.
- Control access to restricted areas, verifying credentials and ensuring only authorized personnel enter.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations, following established protocols.
- De-escalate potentially volatile situations using verbal and non-verbal communication techniques.
- Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations consistently and fairly.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Ensure proper maintenance and readiness of all assigned security equipment and firearms.
Required Skills
- Valid Alaska State Security Guard License (Armed Endorsement required)
- Clean criminal record and drug test history.
- Proficiency in firearm handling, safety, and marksmanship.
- Excellent observational and report-writing skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- Physical fitness to perform duties including prolonged standing, walking, and occasional heavy lifting.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
