Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth initial consultations with couples to understand their vision, preferences, budget, and cultural considerations for their wedding day.
- Develop comprehensive wedding timelines, detailed checklists, and precise budget plans, meticulously tracking all expenditures and progress.
- Source, vet, and negotiate contracts with a wide range of premium vendors, including venues, caterers, florists, photographers, videographers, musicians, and officiants.
- Coordinate and attend venue site visits, menu tastings, dress fittings, and other crucial pre-wedding appointments.
- Design and develop bespoke wedding themes, décor concepts, lighting plans, and detailed floor plans, ensuring a cohesive and stunning aesthetic.
- Manage all communications with clients and vendors, providing regular progress updates, addressing inquiries, and resolving any potential issues promptly.
- Oversee the meticulous setup, flawless execution, and efficient breakdown of wedding events, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and to schedule on the day.
- Provide expert advice, creative solutions, and calm guidance to challenges that may arise during the planning process or on the wedding day.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current wedding trends, industry best practices, and a robust network of local and regional supplier contacts.
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met, and services are delivered to the highest standard, exceeding client expectations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Wedding Planner or in a similar comprehensive event planning role.
- Demonstrable portfolio showcasing successful wedding or significant social event planning projects.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with an unwavering commitment to detail.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and meticulous budget management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and client relations skills.
- Proficiency in event planning software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple complex projects concurrently, and adapt to a flexible schedule.
- Proven creative flair and a strong passion for design, aesthetics, and personalized event experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a closely related field.
- Formal certification in Wedding Planning or Event Management from a recognized institution.
