Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget.
- Research, recommend, and book flights, accommodations, car rentals, cruises, tours, and other travel services.
- Create detailed and accurate travel itineraries, ensuring all bookings are confirmed and documented.
- Provide expert advice on travel destinations, customs, visa requirements, and travel insurance.
- Process payments, manage bookings, and handle any modifications or cancellations efficiently.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and resolve any travel-related issues promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Stay updated on travel trends, destination information, supplier promotions, and industry regulations.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a travel agency or customer service role within the travel industry.
- Excellent knowledge of popular travel destinations, geography, and travel logistics.
- Proficiency in using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo (or similar booking platforms).
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven sales acumen and a results-oriented approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant travel and tourism qualification or certification.
