Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with various tasks on construction sites.
- Perform physical labor including digging trenches, shoveling, lifting and carrying heavy materials (up to 50 lbs regularly), and operating basic hand tools.
- Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris, trash, and potential hazards.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety rules, regulations, and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the workday.
- Operate small power tools and equipment under direct supervision.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of scaffolding, temporary structures, and other site necessities.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding tasks, progress, and potential issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site supervisor or lead worker.
