As a vital member of the project team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, modification, and removal of scaffolding structures that are critical to the successful completion of diverse construction and maintenance projects. Your daily tasks will involve working collaboratively with site managers, other trades, and fellow scaffolders to ensure all structures meet strict regulatory requirements and project specifications. Key Responsibilities
- Erecting and dismantling various types of scaffolding structures safely and efficiently in compliance with industry standards.
- Inspecting scaffolding materials for defects and ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Working accurately from blueprints and architectural drawings to construct appropriate scaffolding systems.
- Adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific rules to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborating effectively with site managers, supervisors, and other trades personnel to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conducting routine safety checks on erected scaffolds, performing adjustments or repairs as necessary.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Actively participating in toolbox talks and safety briefings to stay informed on best practices and potential hazards.
- Reporting any unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervision.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Scaffolder with a minimum of 3 years' practical experience.
- Valid CISRS Card (e.g., Part 1, Part 2, or Advanced Scaffolder).
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to scaffolding and construction.
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently, demonstrating initiative.
- Excellent physical fitness and capability to perform duties at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal communication skills to interact with colleagues and supervisors.
- Possession of the legal right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced CISRS Scaffolder card.
- Holds a valid UK driving license with own transport.
- Experience with a variety of scaffolding systems, including tube and fitting, and system scaffolding.
- Relevant certifications such as First Aid at Work or Manual Handling training.
