Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Supervisor to join our dedicated team in Midtown, Anchorage. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct a team of security officers, ensuring proper staffing and deployment.
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and post orders.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Respond effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, coordinating with law enforcement as necessary.
- Prepare detailed incident reports, daily logs, and other required documentation.
- Conduct investigations into security breaches, thefts, and other relevant incidents.
- Train new security personnel and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, management, and team members.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal security regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in security operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Valid Alaska Security Guard License (or ability to obtain one prior to employment).
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using security equipment and software (CCTV, access control systems).
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience with security risk assessments and emergency preparedness planning.
- Familiarity with local Anchorage security regulations and protocols.
