Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team in the heart of Downtown Anchorage. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
- Conduct timely and effective repairs across various trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility upkeep.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues, diagnosing problems and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address potential hazards or maintenance needs before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with external contractors and vendors when specialized repairs or services are required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Demonstrated proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and various testing equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service oriented approach.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform strenuous tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Certification in universal CFC recovery.
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS) or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Valid Alaska driver's license with a clean driving record.
