Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our team in the heart of Downtown Anchorage. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be the proactive force behind our operational continuity, performing a wide range of skilled maintenance tasks, from routine inspections and preventative maintenance to rapid response repairs. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
  • Conduct timely and effective repairs across various trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility upkeep.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues, diagnosing problems and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Inspect facilities regularly to identify and address potential hazards or maintenance needs before they escalate.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors when specialized repairs or services are required.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a commercial or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and various testing equipment safely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service oriented approach.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform strenuous tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree or certification in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
  • Certification in universal CFC recovery.
  • Experience with building automation systems (BAS) or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Valid Alaska driver's license with a clean driving record.
