Key Responsibilities

  • Operating counterbalance forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and move materials within the warehouse.
  • Performing daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and reporting any defects or issues promptly.
  • Accurate picking, packing, and staging of goods for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and product types.
  • Receiving incoming goods, verifying against documentation, and putting away stock in designated locations.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Assisting with manual handling tasks when required.
  • Participating in inventory counts and stock reconciliation activities.
  • Collaborating with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience operating counterbalance forklift trucks in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physical fitness required for manual handling tasks and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional MHE licenses (e.g., Reach Truck, VNA).
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a third-party logistics (3PL) setting.
  • First Aid certification.
