Key Responsibilities
- Operating counterbalance forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Performing daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Accurate picking, packing, and staging of goods for dispatch, ensuring correct quantities and product types.
- Receiving incoming goods, verifying against documentation, and putting away stock in designated locations.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assisting with manual handling tasks when required.
- Participating in inventory counts and stock reconciliation activities.
- Collaborating with warehouse team members and supervisors to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience operating counterbalance forklift trucks in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical fitness required for manual handling tasks and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional MHE licenses (e.g., Reach Truck, VNA).
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Previous experience in a similar role within a third-party logistics (3PL) setting.
- First Aid certification.
