Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine rebar specifications and placement.
- Cut and bend steel reinforcing bars to required lengths and angles using specialized tools.
- Assemble and tie rebar cages and mats according to structural designs.
- Position and secure rebar in concrete forms using tie wire and other fastening methods.
- Work collaboratively with other construction trades and team members to ensure project completion.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety regulations and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Continuously learn and apply new skills and techniques related to rebar installation.
