Key Responsibilities

  • Process mortgage applications from submission to completion, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Gather, verify, and organise all necessary documentation, including income proofs, bank statements, and credit reports.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, lenders, solicitors, and other third parties to expedite the mortgage application progress.
  • Provide regular, clear updates to clients on their application status and promptly address any queries or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records and ensure data integrity within CRM systems.
  • Handle post-offer conditions and ensure all requirements are met to facilitate a smooth completion.
  • Assist mortgage advisors with various administrative tasks, including diary management and client communication.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies (e.g., FCA, GDPR, AML).
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues or bottlenecks to prevent delays in the application process.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Administrator, Mortgage Processor, or Case Manager.
  • Excellent understanding of the mortgage application process and related compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client and stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work under pressure in a remote environment.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CeMAP qualification (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) or actively working towards it.
  • Experience with specific mortgage CRM platforms (e.g., Intelligent Office, Mortgage Brain, Xplan).
  • Knowledge of different lender criteria, product ranges, and market nuances.
  • Previous experience working in a fully remote or hybrid capacity.
