This critical role ensures our operations run smoothly by maintaining optimal inventory levels, organizing our warehouse, and preparing products for distribution or sales floor placement. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Organize and stock shelves, racks, and display areas according to company standards and planograms.
- Rotate inventory to ensure proper stock levels, minimize waste, and prevent expired or damaged goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, including aisles, storage areas, and receiving docks.
- Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and responsibly, if certified and required.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution as needed.
- Prepare merchandise for the sales floor or outgoing shipments, including labeling and staging.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, company policies, and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and achieve operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and safely.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and verification.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent time management skills and a proven track record of reliability and punctuality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail or warehouse environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods during shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience (6+ months) in stocking, warehousing, inventory management, or a retail environment.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures in a warehouse or retail setting.
