Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, diagnostic tests, and troubleshooting to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Execute repairs and replacements of engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and other components.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
- Utilize specialized diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately pinpoint and resolve complex vehicle problems.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status, repair recommendations, and estimated costs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Continuously update technical knowledge through training and industry publications.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician in a professional shop setting.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in performing comprehensive automotive repairs across various vehicle systems.
- Familiarity with modern diagnostic equipment and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- ASE certifications (preferred but not required upon hiring, support for obtaining is offered).
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE Master Technician certification.
- Experience with specific vehicle brands or advanced diagnostic systems.
- Associates degree or vocational training in automotive technology.
