As our Network Administrator, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). You will play a crucial role in managing network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
- Implement and maintain network security, including intrusion detection systems, access controls, and data encryption.
- Administer and manage network servers, operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and virtualization platforms.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Plan and execute network upgrades, patches, and hardware replacements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and other IT staff members.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical network issues outside of business hours.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance network performance and security.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP).
- Experience with Cisco or equivalent enterprise-level networking equipment.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Experience with firewall management (e.g., FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA).
- Solid experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
