Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with mobility.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, tidying common areas, and meal preparation.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities, conversation, and companionship.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions.
- Accompany clients to appointments or run errands as needed.
- Observe and report any changes in client's condition or behavior to the appropriate supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive relationship with clients and their families.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate demeanor
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Previous experience caring for a family member or friend
- Basic knowledge of nutrition and healthy meal preparation
