Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly skilled and professional Driver, capable of providing exceptional personal and corporate transportation services within Nyarugenge, Kigali Province, Rwanda, and occasionally beyond. You will be responsible for the secure and efficient transport of company executives, staff, clients, and important documents or goods, ensuring all journeys are smooth, comfortable, and discreet. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport personnel (executives, staff, clients) and materials as scheduled.
- Maintain the vehicle in pristine condition, conducting regular pre-and-post trip checks (oil, water, brakes, tires, lights, etc.).
- Keep accurate daily logbooks of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and service records.
- Adhere strictly to all Rwandan traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Plan optimal routes to ensure timely arrivals, actively accounting for traffic, road conditions, and diversions.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or packages, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding all corporate and personal matters encountered during duties.
- Report any accidents, incidents, traffic violations, or vehicle malfunctions promptly and accurately to management.
- Ensure the vehicle is always clean, tidy, and presentable, reflecting the company's professional image.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.
Required Skills
- Valid Rwandan driving license (Class B or equivalent for light vehicles).
- Proven safe driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents.
- Excellent knowledge of Kigali road networks, local routes, and traffic regulations.
- Strong defensive driving skills and a proactive approach to road safety.
- Basic vehicle maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair abilities.
- Exceptional time management, punctuality, and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a respectful demeanor.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, reliability, and trustworthiness.
- Ability to effectively use GPS navigation systems and smartphone applications for routing.
- Physical fitness to perform duties including lifting luggage and prolonged driving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate in defensive driving or other advanced driving courses.
- Experience driving for senior executives, VIPs, or in a corporate environment.
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; proficiency in French is a significant advantage.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of local mechanics and reliable vehicle service providers in Kigali.
- A clean criminal record check.
