This pivotal full-time role directly supports our unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible resource management through the meticulous execution of field observations, precise data collection, and initial analytical assessments. You will play an indispensable role in gathering critical information across a diverse range of environmental parameters, including comprehensive water quality assessments, detailed soil composition analyses, continuous air quality monitoring, and thorough biodiversity surveys. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring strict adherence to evolving regulatory standards and providing foundational data that informs strategic project decisions for both public and private sector clients.
This position offers an unparalleled opportunity for individuals deeply passionate about environmental science to apply their theoretical knowledge in a practical, hands-on setting. Beyond the rigorous demands of data collection, your responsibilities will extend to ensuring accurate, systematic record-keeping, assisting in the preparation of comprehensive field reports and data summaries, and meticulously maintaining the integrity of all collected samples through proper handling and chain-of-custody procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a robust work ethic, an exceptional eye for detail, and the innate ability to thrive both independently in remote locations and as a collaborative participant within a multidisciplinary team. If you are eager to leverage your scientific acumen in a dynamic, field-based career that directly contributes to meaningful environmental protection initiatives within the unique and beautiful Rimouski region, we wholeheartedly encourage you to apply. This is more than just a job; it’s a tangible opportunity to forge a career dedicated to safeguarding our planet for future generations.
