Career.zycto is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our network of premier home care providers in Chula Vista, California. Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide medication reminders and ensure clients adhere to their prescribed schedules.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, respecting dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, tidying living areas, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or social activities, providing safe transportation and supervision.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities, conversation, and companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Monitor and report any changes in client's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, observations, and client progress.
- Adhere strictly to all care plans, safety protocols, and company policies and procedures.
- Provide empathetic support and communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the care team.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in California
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion for others
- Ability to follow care plans accurately and work independently
- Physical ability to assist clients with transfers and mobility
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
- Familiarity with various medical conditions and special care needs
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish/English) is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing client needs and schedules
