Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport medical specimens, lab results, and related materials between designated locations.
- Adhere strictly to established routes, schedules, and delivery timelines to ensure timely specimen arrival.
- Maintain the integrity of specimens during transport by following proper handling, temperature control, and packaging protocols.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately, including chain-of-custody forms, logs, and delivery receipts.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, laboratory staff, and client personnel regarding pickups, deliveries, and any potential delays or issues.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, organized, and safe personal vehicle for transporting sensitive materials.
- Operate in compliance with all traffic laws, company safety policies, and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA, DOT).
- Handle biohazardous materials with extreme care and follow universal precautions at all times.
