Job Description
Are you an enthusiastic and reliable motorbike rider with a passion for excellent service? Glovo is looking for dedicated Delivery Riders to join our growing network in Loresho, Nairobi. As a Glovo Delivery Rider, you will be the face of our brand, ensuring timely and safe deliveries of various items, including food, groceries, and parcels, directly to our customers. This role offers incredible flexibility, allowing you to choose your working hours and maximize your earning potential. You will navigate the vibrant streets of Nairobi, contributing to the daily operations of a leading on-demand delivery service. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver orders (food, groceries, parcels, etc.) to customers within designated areas in Loresho and surrounding Nairobi regions.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company delivery protocols.
- Manage cash and cashless transactions accurately, providing correct change or processing mobile payments.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring orders are delivered politely, professionally, and in excellent condition.
- Utilize the Glovo courier application effectively for order management, route optimization, and communication.
- Ensure the motorbike is in excellent working condition, performing daily checks and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Handle unexpected situations or challenges on the road with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
- Represent Glovo's brand positively during all customer interactions.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A motorcycle driving license (or equivalent in Kenya).
- Ownership of a roadworthy motorbike with valid insurance and all necessary documentation.
- Proficiency in using a smartphone with internet access (data plan).
- Excellent knowledge of Nairobi's road networks, particularly Loresho and adjacent areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple deliveries.
- Physical stamina and endurance for extended periods of riding and carrying parcels.
- A clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery rider or courier in Nairobi.
- Familiarity with the Glovo app or similar delivery platforms.
- Basic motorbike maintenance knowledge.
- Customer service experience.
