Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and organise incoming food donations, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
- Prepare food parcels according to client needs and dietary requirements, maintaining confidentiality and respect.
- Assist with the distribution of food parcels to clients, providing a friendly and supportive service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the foodbank premises, including storage areas and client waiting areas.
- Operate basic inventory systems to track stock levels and report any shortages or surpluses.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations relevant to food handling and storage.
- Support clients with compassion and sensitivity, directing them to further support services if appropriate.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and volunteers to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as recording client data or managing appointment schedules.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
