Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently receive, unload, and accurately process incoming merchandise shipments, verifying contents against invoices.
- Stock shelves, displays, and storage areas according to established planograms and company standards to ensure optimal presentation and accessibility.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly backroom and sales floor throughout the entire shift, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified; training will be provided if required) safely and according to protocol.
- Conduct inventory counts, assist with stock rotation, and identify expired or damaged products for proper disposition.
- Promptly report any damaged merchandise, inventory discrepancies, or safety hazards to the shift supervisor or management.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve nightly stocking goals and prepare the store for opening.
- Assist with other operational tasks as needed to support overall store efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently work overnight shifts (typical hours may range from 10 PM – 7 AM).
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly, stand for extended periods, bend, and reach.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills to manage inventory effectively.
- Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and excellent time management abilities.
- Basic reading, writing, and numerical comprehension skills for inventory tasks.
- Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a team environment.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and accurately.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a stocking, warehousing, retail, or similar fast-paced operational environment.
- Prior experience operating a pallet jack, hand truck, or similar warehouse equipment.
- Possession of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new procedures and systems quickly.
