Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial truck (Class A CDL required) safely and efficiently during designated night shifts.
- Transport goods and materials to various destinations, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including logs, trip reports, and delivery manifests.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with dispatch regarding delays, issues, or route changes.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company safety policies, and traffic laws.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting and damage during transit.
- Perform minor roadside repairs as needed and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Represent Career.zycto professionally at all times while on duty.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Proficiency in operating various truck types and trailers
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in challenging situations
- Physical stamina to perform job duties, including lifting and securing cargo
