As a Delivery Driver with Career.zycto, you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of various parcels, packages, and freight. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles for the delivery and pickup of goods across designated routes.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.
- Verify accuracy of delivery contents against shipping documents and obtain necessary signatures.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and complete all required paperwork diligently.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor during all interactions.
- Navigate routes effectively, using maps and GPS systems as required, and adapting to changing conditions.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and deadlines.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian Driver's License (minimum Class C, HR/HC preferred).
- Clean driving record with no major infringements.
- Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery roles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 25kg) and perform physical tasks.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for vehicle pre-checks and minor troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving in regional or remote Australian conditions.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Forklift license (LF) or experience.
