Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, WLAN).
- Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Configure and troubleshoot network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
- Manage and optimize network security, including VPNs, access control lists, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in incident response and problem management for network-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with other systems.
- Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and security.
- Perform regular network backups and disaster recovery planning.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users on network connectivity and related issues.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), and switching protocols (VLANs, STP).
- Proficiency with network security principles and technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Experience with Cisco IOS/NX-OS and other network operating systems.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware configuration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
