Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive needs and risk assessments for children, young people, and families.
- Develop, implement, and review person-centred care plans, ensuring they are responsive to individual and family needs.
- Provide direct support, advice, and advocacy to service users, empowering them to achieve positive outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health, education, housing, and police, to ensure coordinated support.
- Undertake safeguarding duties, responding to concerns about abuse or neglect and initiating protective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, adhering to professional standards and statutory requirements.
- Prepare and present reports for relevant panels, court proceedings, and review meetings.
- Facilitate family group conferences and other restorative practices.
- Participate in supervision, training, and continuous professional development.

Required Skills
- Proven experience in statutory social work with children and families.
- HCPC/Social Work England registration (or equivalent for UK practice).
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures (e.g., Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children).
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively and prioritise competing demands.
- Resilience and emotional intelligence to work with challenging situations.
- Proficiency in IT systems for case management and record-keeping.
- Full UK driving license and access to a car (for community visits).
