Job Description
Career.zycto is seeking a talented and passionate 2D Animator to join our dynamic and fully remote team. As a 2D Animator, you will play a crucial role in crafting visually stunning and emotionally resonant animated sequences for a variety of projects, including digital content, interactive experiences, and marketing materials. We are looking for an individual with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of animation principles, and the ability to bring characters and environments to life with personality and fluidity. Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality 2D animation for characters, props, and environments, adhering to established style guides and project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with art directors, illustrators, and other animators to ensure visual consistency and artistic excellence.
- Translate storyboards and concepts into engaging and fluid animated sequences.
- Integrate feedback effectively to refine and enhance animation, ensuring timely delivery.
- Manage and organize animation files and assets efficiently within project pipelines.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to project development.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current animation techniques, software, and industry best practices.
- Ensure all animated assets meet technical specifications for various platforms and outputs.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard 2D animation software (e.g., Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, Adobe After Effects).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of 2D animation work, including character and motion graphics.
- Excellent understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, anticipation, squash & stretch, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to project changes.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Animation, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with rigging and character setup in 2D animation software.
- Familiarity with graphic design principles and digital illustration.
- Experience working in a remote or distributed team setting.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset.
