Job Description
Are you a budding artist with a passion for bringing characters and worlds to life? Impacto Branding & Advertising is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic 3D Animation Trainee to join our growing creative team. This is an exceptional entry-level opportunity for individuals with little to no professional experience but a strong foundational understanding of animation principles and a burning desire to master 3D software and techniques. As a 3D Animation Trainee, you will embark on a structured learning journey, working closely with our experienced animators and designers. You will receive hands-on training in industry-standard software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max, and learn the full pipeline of 3D production, from conceptualization and modeling to texturing, rigging, animation, lighting, and rendering.
Your primary role will be to assist the senior team members on various client projects, contributing to elements of 3D animations for commercials, digital content, and branding initiatives. This is more than just an internship; it’s a mentorship-driven role designed to equip you with practical skills and real-world project experience essential for a successful career in 3D animation. You will gain exposure to diverse creative challenges, learn to interpret client briefs, and understand the technical requirements of producing high-quality animated content. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in training sessions and workshops to learn 3D animation software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) and techniques.
- Assist senior animators with modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating 3D assets for various projects.
- Contribute to the creation of storyboards and animatics for upcoming animation sequences.
- Support the lighting and rendering process to produce high-quality final images and videos.
- Organize and maintain 3D asset libraries and project files.
- Conduct research on animation trends, techniques, and software to stay updated with industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements and contribute ideas.
- Receive and apply feedback from supervisors to improve animation skills and project outcomes.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to the animation pipeline as needed.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of animation principles (e.g., squash and stretch, anticipation, timing).
- Familiarity with at least one 3D software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) through personal projects or academic exposure.
- Strong artistic aptitude and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High degree of self-motivation and a strong desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with office productivity tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- A portfolio showcasing personal 3D models, animations, or digital art projects (even if unfinished).
- Certification or coursework in animation, graphic design, multimedia, or a related field.
- Prior experience with digital drawing tools or graphic design software.
- Understanding of cinematic principles and storytelling.
- Fluency in Portuguese and English.
