Job Description

Chartered Accountants is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant specializing in Corporate Finance to join our growing team in Petersfield, Westmoreland. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial reports, statements, and in-depth analyses for a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.

  • Reconcile complex accounts, verify financial transactions, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all financial data.
  • Help prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring strict compliance with local tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Participate actively in client meetings, assisting senior accountants in presenting financial insights, recommendations, and strategic advice.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that could impact corporate finance strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential financial records and documentation, adhering to firm standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members on various projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes for both internal firm operations and specific client projects.
  • Provide general administrative and analytical support to the corporate finance team as needed, contributing to overall team efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and fundamental financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial formulas.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as a valued member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
