Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting transactions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Prepare and process financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and expense reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Administer and process payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory deductions and timely remittances.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying variances and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international financial regulations and tax requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Required Skills

  • Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA (Kenya) or ACCA certification.
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of Kenyan tax laws and regulations.
