Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our dynamic team in a ‘Work from Anywhere’ capacity. You will be responsible for a comprehensive range of accounting duties, from managing general ledgers and preparing financial statements to assisting with tax preparations and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations regularly to ensure data accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and providing explanations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare and submit tax returns (e.g., GST, corporate tax) and other statutory filings in compliance with local regulations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., FRS/IFRS) and internal financial policies.
- Support year-end audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management to aid in decision-making.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders in a remote setting.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (e.g., FRS/IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis).
- Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear financial reporting and collaboration.
