Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Administrative Clerk to join our team at the Mafeteng branch. This critical role provides essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the branch. The successful candidate will be the backbone of our administrative functions, managing a variety of tasks that contribute directly to our operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for maintaining organized records, coordinating communications, assisting with data entry, and providing general office support. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring documents are easily retrievable and securely stored.
  • Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy, updating customer information, transaction records, and internal databases.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including sorting mail, preparing packages, and drafting routine communications.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and preparing necessary materials suchations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Provide front-desk support when necessary, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries to the appropriate department.
  • Assist with basic accounting and reconciliation tasks, processing invoices, and maintaining petty cash records under supervision.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to document management and information security.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an administrative or clerical role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Sesotho.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Certificate in Office Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with financial software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and processes quickly.
