Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and organize all legal documents, pleadings, and correspondences for filing.
- Accurately file documents with various courts, tribunals, and administrative bodies in Mombasa and other jurisdictions as required.
- Maintain and update both physical and electronic case files, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and easy retrieval.
- Monitor and track case deadlines, court dates, and limitation periods, providing timely reminders to advocates.
- Liaise effectively with court registries, administrative staff, process servers, and other external parties to facilitate filing and service of documents.
- Assist advocates in preparing bundles of documents for court hearings, meetings, and client consultations.
- Conduct basic legal research as instructed, focusing on procedural requirements and court rules.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails related to case filings.
- Ensure strict compliance with all court rules, practice directions, and ethical guidelines.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the legal team, including photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
Required Skills
