Key Responsibilities
- Perform various manual tasks related to crop cultivation, including planting, weeding, pruning, and harvesting.
- Operate and maintain a range of farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., tractors, harvesters, irrigation systems) after appropriate training.
- Assist with the care and feeding of livestock, if applicable to the specific farm (e.g., mucking out, milking, animal health checks).
- Monitor crop health, identify pests or diseases, and apply treatments under supervision.
- Participate in general farm maintenance, including fencing, repairs to structures, and upkeep of grounds.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and farm protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with packaging and preparation of produce for market or storage.
- Work collaboratively with other farm staff to achieve daily operational goals.
