Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UI/UX, Backend) to define, design, and ship new features.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Contribute to code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the codebase.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in Android application development.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
- Strong understanding of the Android SDK, different Android versions, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
- Knowledge of UI/UX standards, patterns, and best practices for Android.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern Android development practices (Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow).
- Familiarity with architectural patterns like MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies (Espresso, JUnit, Mockito).
- Understanding of database technologies, especially SQLite or Room persistence library.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal Android projects.
