Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UI/UX, Backend) to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Contribute to code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure the reliability and stability of the codebase.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Android application development.
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of the Android SDK, different Android versions, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX standards, patterns, and best practices for Android.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern Android development practices (Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow).
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns like MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture.
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and methodologies (Espresso, JUnit, Mockito).
  • Understanding of database technologies, especially SQLite or Room persistence library.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal Android projects.
