Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems (SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS) for alerts, events, and incidents, providing timely analysis and response.
- Perform vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential weaknesses.
- Conduct incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-mortem analysis.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices.
- Analyze security logs and network traffic for suspicious activity, indications of compromise, and policy violations.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies, recommending appropriate defenses.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees to foster a security-conscious culture.
- Participate in security audits and reviews, providing documentation and evidence as required.
- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies to ensure optimal performance and effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ELK Stack)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with incident response, forensic analysis, and vulnerability management methodologies
- Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
- Solid knowledge of attack vectors, threat intelligence, and adversarial tactics
- Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and analysis
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
