Job Description
Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineering Analyst to join our growing team in Stockbridge, Edinburgh. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and performant software solutions that exceed user expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for new features and existing functionalities.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites using relevant frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with product owners and developers to understand requirements and ensure testability of features.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics, providing insights into product stability and areas for improvement.
- Advocate for quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Stay updated with new testing tools, strategies, and methodologies.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with manual and automated testing, including developing test cases and scripts.
- Proficiency in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
