Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily feeding and watering of animals according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
- Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, kennels, and common areas thoroughly to maintain optimal hygiene.
- Monitor animals for any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes, reporting observations promptly to veterinary staff.
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, surgical procedures, and sample collection.
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff, ensuring accurate dosages and timely delivery.
- Handle animals safely and humanely, utilizing appropriate restraint techniques when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date animal records, including feeding logs, health charts, and treatment histories.
- Provide enrichment and socialization for animals to promote their psychological and physical well-being.
- Stock and organize supplies, ensuring equipment is clean and in good working order.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines and regulations.
