Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily feeding and watering of animals according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
  • Clean and sanitize animal enclosures, kennels, and common areas thoroughly to maintain optimal hygiene.
  • Monitor animals for any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes, reporting observations promptly to veterinary staff.
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, surgical procedures, and sample collection.
  • Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff, ensuring accurate dosages and timely delivery.
  • Handle animals safely and humanely, utilizing appropriate restraint techniques when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date animal records, including feeding logs, health charts, and treatment histories.
  • Provide enrichment and socialization for animals to promote their psychological and physical well-being.
  • Stock and organize supplies, ensuring equipment is clean and in good working order.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines and regulations.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in animal handling and care, preferably in a professional setting.
