Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior maintenance technicians with routine and emergency repairs in apartment units and common areas, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance troubleshooting.
- Perform a variety of preventative maintenance tasks to ensure building systems, equipment, and fixtures operate efficiently and to extend their lifespan, minimizing potential breakdowns.
- Conduct minor repairs such as patching walls, painting touch-ups, replacing light fixtures, repairing small leaks, and adjusting doors/windows.
- Support the thorough preparation of vacant units for new residents, including comprehensive cleaning, necessary minor repairs, and detailed inspections.
- Assist with the upkeep of property grounds, including light landscaping, debris and trash removal, and ensuring common amenities are clean and well-maintained.
- Respond promptly and courteously to maintenance requests from residents, ensuring issues are diagnosed accurately and resolved efficiently and to their satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and policies, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and all residents.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all maintenance performed, including detailed descriptions of tasks and materials used.
- Assist with the inventory management of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies, reporting needs as required.
- Collaborate effectively and professionally with other team members, property management staff, and residents to achieve departmental and overall company goals.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry principles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently with minimal supervision and as an integral part of a collaborative team.
- Physical stamina and agility to perform manual tasks, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work comfortably in various indoor and outdoor weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications
