Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic A&R Administrator to join our vibrant team in Oadby, Leicester. This is an exceptional opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a passion for music and the entertainment industry. As an A&R Administrator, you will play a crucial supportive role within our Artist & Repertoire (A&R) department, providing comprehensive administrative assistance to our A&R managers and executives. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our artist discovery, development, and signing processes.

This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently, maintain strict confidentiality, and possess excellent communication skills. You will be at the heart of our operations, helping to manage artist relationships, track project progress, and ensure all administrative elements of artist agreements and development are meticulously handled. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the A&R team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and arranging travel.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of artist contracts, ensuring all documentation is accurate and filed appropriately.
  • Maintain and update artist databases, tracking demos, submissions, and artist development progress.
  • Manage and reconcile departmental expenses, invoices, and budgets.
  • Coordinate recording sessions, photoshoots, video shoots, and other artist-related logistical arrangements.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for internal departments and external partners regarding A&R-related inquiries.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and other documents as required by the A&R team.
  • Organize and maintain confidential artist and project files, both physical and digital.
  • Assist in the research and analysis of emerging artists, musical trends, and market data.
  • Facilitate communication between artists, management, and various internal departments (e.g., Legal, Marketing, Finance).

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative experience, ideally within the music or entertainment industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • A genuine passion for music and a solid understanding of current industry trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Familiarity with various digital audio formats and music-related software.
  • Knowledge of artist contract terminology and music rights.
  • Previous experience supporting a creative or executive team.
