Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and passionate A&R Administrator to join our client’s dedicated team in Guildford, Surrey. This full-time role is crucial in supporting the A&R department, acting as the backbone for artist discovery, development, and project management. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of daily administrative tasks, allowing our A&R managers to focus on creative talent scouting and nurturing. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and log all incoming demo submissions, ensuring proper categorisation and distribution to relevant A&R managers.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, travel arrangements, and appointments for the A&R team, including studio sessions and live showcases.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive artist databases, contact lists, and project tracking systems with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Assist with the preparation of contracts, presentations, reports, and other critical documentation for artist signings and project updates.
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal and external communications related to A&R activities, handling enquiries professionally.
  • Monitor music industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging artists to provide timely insights to the A&R team.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and budget tracking for the A&R department, ensuring compliance with financial procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and articulate approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and database management.
  • A genuine passion for music across various genres and a solid understanding of the current music landscape.
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
