Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and passionate A&R Administrator to join our vibrant team at Career.zycto. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our Artist & Repertoire (A&R) department, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all administrative processes vital to artist discovery, development, and project management. You will be the linchpin connecting artists, producers, and our internal teams, handling everything from managing demo submissions to coordinating recording sessions and maintaining essential artist documentation. This position requires someone with an impeccable eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for the music industry.
As an A&R Administrator, you will be instrumental in the day-to-day operations that underpin our artist roster’s success. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and log all incoming demo submissions, ensuring timely review and feedback processes.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, studio sessions, showcases, and travel arrangements for the A&R team and artists.
- Maintain and update artist databases, contact lists, and project trackers with meticulous accuracy.
- Prepare, distribute, and archive various documents including contracts, release schedules, and artist reports.
- Assist with budgeting and expense tracking for A&R projects and departmental operations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for artist inquiries, external partners, and internal departments regarding A&R matters.
- Support the A&R team with research, data gathering, and presentation preparation.
- Facilitate communication between artists, producers, legal, marketing, and publicity teams.
- Organise and manage physical and digital assets related to artist projects, ensuring easy accessibility.
- Undertake general administrative duties to ensure the efficient running of the A&R department.
Required Skills
- Proven administrative experience, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- A passion for music and a solid understanding of current industry trends.
