Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout for new and emerging artists, bands, and producers across various genres through live performances, digital platforms, and industry networks.
- Cultivate strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, and other industry professionals.
- Evaluate demo submissions, online portfolios, and performance footage to identify potential talent with commercial and artistic viability.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to artists on their material, performance, and career trajectory.
- Monitor music industry trends, competitor activity, and new technologies to inform strategic decisions.
- Support the artist development process, from recording sessions and creative direction to marketing and promotional strategies.
- Assist in the negotiation of recording contracts and other agreements, ensuring fair terms for both artists and the label.
Required Skills
- Exceptional ear for music and a profound understanding of diverse musical genres and trends.
- Proven ability to network effectively and build lasting relationships within the music industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the current music landscape, including independent and major label operations.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring trust and collaboration.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Familiarity with digital music platforms, social media, and their role in artist discovery and promotion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Business, Arts Management, or a related field.

- Deep knowledge of the local Glasgow and Scottish music scene.
