As an A&R Representative – Talent Scouting at Career.zycto, you’ll be at the forefront of musical innovation, responsible for discovering and cultivating the next generation of groundbreaking artists. Based in the scenic and burgeoning creative hub of Lake Havasu Shores, Lake Havasu City, you will immerse yourself in local music scenes, both established and underground, to identify unique sounds and compelling performers. You will leverage your understanding of diverse genres, from indie folk to electronic pop, to pinpoint artists with genuine authenticity and broad appeal.
You will spend your time actively scouting, attending live performances at various venues, engaging with local musicians, producers, managers, and other industry contacts, and diligently sifting through countless digital and physical submissions to unearth hidden gems. Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout for new talent across various musical genres in Lake Havasu City and surrounding regions.
- Attend live performances, showcases, and industry events to identify promising artists.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, and other industry professionals.
- Evaluate demo submissions and online presence to assess artistic merit, commercial viability, and market potential.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to artists regarding their material, image, and career development.
- Collaborate with marketing, legal, and production teams to strategize artist development and release plans.
- Monitor music industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging artists to inform scouting efforts.
- Negotiate and facilitate recording contracts and other agreements with new talent.

Required Skills
- Proven track record in talent scouting or a similar A&R role.
- Exceptional ear for music and a deep understanding of diverse genres and industry trends.
- Strong network within the music industry (artists, managers, venues, etc.).

- Ability to identify commercial potential and artistic integrity.
